Spectra Packaging recently enjoyed a fruitful return visit to the Cosmetic Business show in Germany.

Staged at the MOC in Munich in June, this was Spectra's second consecutive showing following a three-year hiatus. As with last year, the event proved hugely successful, according to Gary Allard, the company’s Export Sales Manager.

He said, "Our ongoing overseas sales drive has seen significant successes across several European countries, and the German Cosmetics and toiletries sector continues to be a thriving market for Spectra".

He added, "This show provides an excellent shop window for us to highlight our products and services face to face".

Regarded as a key packaging event in Europe, Cosmetic Business attracts over 400 exhibitors, showcasing the very latest trends, with footfall exceeding 40,000 over the two days.

Sustainability and the environmental impact of plastics continues to be high on the agenda within the packaging industry, and Spectra again showed that it takes the challenge seriously.

For example, a table highlighting the company’s efforts at minimising manufacturing impact, coupled with a display explaining recycled content and bioplastics drew significant interest from visitors to Spectra's show stand.

As well as showing a huge range of standard design packs, Spectra also used the event to premiere their latest innovation with new product packs; injection moulded components and advances in pack printing and finishing.

Gary went on to say, "Despite the ongoing economic uncertainty surrounding the impact of Brexit, we continue to enjoy success across many European territories, and we will continue building on those successes, irrespective of political ambivalence in the UK".

Spectra's next exhibition appearance will be at Packaging Innovations at Olympia London on September 11th, and 12th 2019 on stand D22.
